About H M Williams - The Partners

Hugh Williams Hugh was educated at Eton and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970. He started this practice in 1973 and his book first written in 1988 “Private Company Secretary’s Manual” is published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and is now in its seventh edition.

Hugh has held positions on the committee of the Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has also addressed the Tax Faculty Conference on tax practice management.

Tim Smith Tim, an Oxford graduate, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1971 and became a partner in 2001. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and sits on that body's south west regional committee. Tim is co-author with Hugh of the latest HMWCA publication, “Tax answers at a glance”.
